The Mississippi Leadership Council on Aging reviewed grant applications for approval during a recent board meeting, according to the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department.
The board meets quarterly at the Department of Public Safety Headquarters in Pearl. It oversees Senior Citizens TRIADs in counties with active senior programs and provides grant funding for education about scams, personal safety and home safety.

Board members said they work together with the best interests of senior citizens in mind.
