Lauderdale County sheriff’s office seeks help locating people with active warrants

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office is asking residents to help locate people featured in its weekly lineup who have active outstanding warrants.

The office said anyone who recognizes a person pictured should not approach or attempt to apprehend them. Tips can be shared with Crime Stoppers anonymously, according to the notice.

The appeal follows the recent death of Fannie Johnson, whom the office described as a dedicated community servant. The notice said the loss left hearts heavy across Lauderdale County and emphasized cooperation between deputies and residents on public safety.

The office also urged anyone whose photo appears in the lineup to turn themselves in and resolve their active warrant.
