Lafayette County sheriff’s office collecting donations after twins’ crash

The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office is collecting donations for the family of 20-year-old twins Zoe and Chloe Johnson after an automobile accident on Aug. 14, 2026. Chloe died from her injuries, while Zoe is receiving care for life-threatening injuries at Regional One Medical Center in Memphis.

The sisters were 2024 graduates of Lafayette High School. Chloe was pursuing her LPN at Northwest Community College and dreamed of becoming a registered nurse. Zoe planned to enter Northwest’s Emergency Medical Technology Program in 2027.

Donations may be made at the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office or the Lafayette County Detention Center at 711 E. Jackson Ave. The sheriff’s office said collected funds will go toward medical bills and funeral costs.
