Dispatchers with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office answer every 911 call placed in Lafayette County and work around the clock to connect callers with the appropriate emergency assistance, according to the office.
LCSO Dispatch directly dispatches calls for the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office, Lafayette County Fire Department, Oxford Fire Department and Baptist Ambulance.

When a 911 call concerns the Oxford Police Department, LCSO dispatchers transfer it directly to OPD dispatch so that department can assist.
The sheriff’s office said dispatchers gather information, coordinate resources and help keep the community safe during emergency responses.
