Investigator follows up on report involving dog in Prentiss County

An investigator began working yesterday evening on a case involving a dog, according to the Prentiss County Sheriff's Department.

The dog was taken to a local veterinarian this morning. The veterinarian examined the dog, treated it for parasites and said it was otherwise healthy.

The department said investigators will continue to follow up. Additional animals, including dogs, chickens and a pig, were described as well kept.
