Community members, churches, businesses and organizations banded together to support 184 children through this year’s Angel Tree program, according to a Facebook post.
The police department coordinated the effort, but the community’s generosity was the driving force.
Walmart provided refreshments, volunteers wrapped gifts, and residents contributed to the cause.
The post also noted that such community support often remains private or is limited to small groups, which may explain why the content was not widely visible.
