The Blissful Bean, a drive-thru coffee shop, has been named Best of Pontotoc in the Best New Business category.
The business said the recognition meant a great deal to its team and thanked customers for their support, including buying coffee, bringing friends, sharing posts, trying new products and cheering the shop on.
Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel. A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
