The Washington County Economic Alliance said people attended a Business After Hours event at Emery Lee Boutique the previous night, describing the turnout as great and the gathering as an opportunity for networking.

A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
