PIKE COUNTY, Miss. – Authorities have apprehended an escaped fugitive from Lincoln County following a coordinated search in the Lake Dixie Springs area.
According to the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, the man — whose identity has not been released — was tracked down Wednesday by K9 units and a helicopter before being found in the lake and taken into custody.
In a statement, the sheriff’s office thanked all responding agencies, noting that their “teamwork and dedication ensured the safety of the community.”
