Cold Weather Advisory Issued for Southeast Louisiana and Southern Mississippi
The National Weather Service has issued a cold weather advisory from midnight Monday to 9 a.m. Tuesday for parts of southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi.
Forecasters warn of very cold wind chills, which could dip into the upper teens or lower 20s. Prolonged exposure to these conditions may cause hypothermia.
Residents are advised to exercise caution while outside. Wear appropriate clothing, including hats and gloves, and check on older family, friends, and neighbors. Use portable heaters safely and avoid running generators or grills inside.
