Tupelo police announce felony shoplifting arrest

Tupelo police announced a felony shoplifting arrest involving Best Buy, with the case set for presentation to the Lee County Grand Jury.

A Crawford woman was arrested and charged with felony shoplifting after police investigated the theft of multiple items from a Tupelo Wal-Mart.

Akevious A. Tucker was charged in Tupelo with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and ordered held on a $10,000 bond.

Two people were charged with felony child abuse after an infant died following an emergency response at a Tupelo motel, police said.

Ashley Evans, 24, of Starkville, was charged with felony shoplifting after a reported theft at a Tupelo Wal-Mart.
