Toppers sweep Crowley’s Ridge behind balanced attack
PARAGOULD, Ark. — Blue Mountain Christian used timely power, disciplined baserunning and steady pitching to sweep a doubleheader at Crowley’s Ridge College on Thursday, improving to 17–0 on the season.
The Toppers opened the day with an early surge, as Karen Wisher hit a first-inning grand slam and Blue Mountain Christian finished the opener with 11 runs on 11 hits in an 11-2 victory. Anna Harrison supplied key run-producing at-bats while Aspen Teague, Mikaylah Fuqua and Kelsey Camp frequently moved runners and extended innings.
Madison Montgomery worked five strong innings in the circle, allowing just three hits and striking out seven. Crowley’s Ridge managed two runs, but BMCU’s early offense and clean defense kept the game in the Toppers’ favor.
In the nightcap, Blue Mountain Christian again struck early and never relinquished control, taking a 9–1 win. Kelsey Camp and Bre Ramsey each homered, and Gail Wisher drove in two with a double. Bri Langley allowed one run on five hits across five innings as the Toppers outscored their opponent 20–3 for the day.
With contributions up and down the lineup, Blue Mountain Christian extended what the program calls its strongest start in history. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
