Millsaps senior libero Sandy Bourgeois was named the Southern Athletic Association Volleyball Defensive Athlete of the Week on Monday after a record-breaking weekend.
Bourgeois appeared in three matches during Millsaps' 4-0 weekend at the Millsaps-Belhaven Invitational, recording 85 digs, 15 assists and four aces. She set an SAA record with 50 digs in a five-set, come-from-behind victory over LeTourneau on Friday.

She also helped Millsaps sweep Centenary on Friday and Huntingdon on Saturday. The announcement followed a league-wide vote of sports information directors and marked the second SAA Defensive Athlete of the Week recognition of Bourgeois' career.
Millsaps next hosts United States Sports University at 6 p.m. Friday at the Hangar Dome in Jackson, Mississippi. Live statistics will be available, and the match will be streamed on FloCollege.
