Millsaps sophomore goalkeeper Edward Steinwand was recognized as the Southern Athletic Association Defensive Athlete of the Week following the opening weekend of his season, the athletics program said.
Steinwand made nine saves across two road starts and recorded consecutive shutouts, becoming the first Millsaps player since 2017 to post back-to-back clean sheets.
Millsaps played Pensacola Christian College to a 0-0 draw Friday, with Steinwand making six saves. The Majors then drew the United States Sports University 0-0 on Sunday, as Steinwand added three saves.
Millsaps will return to action at 3 p.m. Saturday, hosting LeTourneau University for Senior Day. Festivities will begin before the match, with live statistics and a broadcast available through FloSports.com.
