Point University defeats Blue Mountain Christian 92-79

Point University defeated Blue Mountain Christian 92-79 Monday night in West Point, Georgia, in a Southern States Athletic Conference matchup, the schools’ athletics website said.

Blue Mountain Christian opened the game with strong early energy and built an early lead, but Point responded and gained momentum as the game progressed. The teams traded runs through much of the night before the Skyhawks created separation late in the second half.

Esrael Yant led the Toppers with 20 points, attacking the basket and converting at the free-throw line. Gavin Shannon added 16 points and eight rebounds, while Michael Hill contributed 15 points and defensive activity. RJ Robinson provided 11 points off the bench, and Chris Tackett anchored the boards with nine rebounds.

The Toppers will play again Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026, at Brewton-Parker College at 7:30 p.m. EST, the athletics site said. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
