Ole Miss rifle is ranked No. 5 nationally in the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association preseason rankings, marking the second consecutive season the Rebels have opened at No. 5.
Ole Miss is one of three Patriot Rifle Conference teams in the top five, joining No. 3 TCU and No. 4 Nebraska. West Virginia is ranked No. 1, followed by No. 2 Kentucky.

The Rebels enter the season under second-year head coach Will Shaner and feature returning All-Americans Audrey Gogniat and Gracie Dinh. Gogniat is a back-to-back NCAA champion in air rifle.
Ole Miss is scheduled to open its season Saturday, Sept. 26, by hosting No. 14 Ohio State and No. 18 UT Martin. Action is set to begin at 8 a.m. CT.
The Rebels will travel to Morgantown, West Virginia, from Nov. 14-15 to close the fall campaign and will host Kentucky in Oxford on Jan. 17.
