Kunshinge Sorrell-Howard, a Northeast Mississippi Community College alumna and Success Coaching team member, was inducted into the 2026 Mississippi State M-Club Sports Hall of Fame, according to Northeast Mississippi Community College.
Sorrell-Howard was among eight inductees honored at the annual gala ahead of Mississippi State’s home football game against Missouri. The class also included Daniel Boyd, Fletcher Cox and Johnthan Banks in football; Mario Austin in men’s basketball; Ted Milton in baseball; Kathe Kingston in women’s golf; and Aimee York Strickland in volleyball.
Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel. A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
