Chris Brooks has covered Mississippi football across print, digital and radio

Chris Brooks, the owner and publisher of Mississippi Gridiron Magazine, has built a statewide football media presence spanning print, digital coverage and radio. He started the publication in 2010, covering high school, college and junior college programs across Mississippi.

Before launching the magazine, Brooks spent a decade as the Sports Information Director at Mississippi College, a role that gave him ties throughout the state's football community.

Brooks expanded his coverage in 2019 by launching the Capital Sports website. The site added other sports in the metro area while also covering Mississippi's junior colleges.

He also hosts The Gridiron, a weekday morning show on ESPN Radio The Zone 105.9. His work across the magazine, website and radio has made him an established voice in Mississippi football media, with coverage ranging from prep programs to college teams.
