Blue Mountain Christian volleyball lost to Loyola in three sets during an SSAC road match at The Den in New Orleans, Louisiana. Loyola won the second set 25-20 and closed the match with a 25-18 third-set victory after taking the opening frame.
Marissa Gerleman led the Toppers with 10 kills, while Valeria Velez added six. Blue Mountain Christian finished with 28 kills as a team.

Abbi Williams recorded a match-high 19 digs. Salice Speed and Velez each had six digs, while Olivia Lewis led Blue Mountain Christian with four blocks. Speed and Velez contributed two blocks apiece, giving the Toppers seven blocks compared with Loyola's eight.
Brenyn Wilbanks led the team with 11 assists, followed by Olivia Domino with seven and Sydney Tague with six. Speed recorded two of Blue Mountain Christian's three service aces.
The Toppers are scheduled to continue SSAC play against Xavier tomorrow.
