Mississippi Announces Largest Investment in State History on Gameday

JACKSON, Miss. — Mississippi officials announced the largest single investment in state history during a busy Gameday. The Mississippi Development Authority revealed the news at 1 p.m. on X, formerly known as Twitter.

At 6:30 p.m., Ole Miss football faces Miami in the Fiesta Bowl, highlighting a day of excitement for residents and fans alike.

In a social media post, a state official expressed pride in the day’s events, saying, “Days like today are why I ran for governor.” The post included hashtags such as #HottyToddy, #LetsBreakNewGround, and #LaneWho?

The announcement underscores Mississippi’s ongoing efforts to attract investment and promote economic growth.
