Mississippi officials have launched a trial into a welfare fraud scheme involving $77 million, with State Auditor Shad White warning of systemic abuse. White discussed the case and national fraud concerns during an interview on Fox Business.
White emphasized ongoing efforts to combat fraud and protect taxpayer funds. He has previously sounded alarms about widespread misuse of welfare programs across the country.
The trial marks a significant step in addressing alleged misconduct in Mississippi’s welfare system, according to state officials.
