Magee Police Arrest Two Suspects During Recent Operations

The Magee Police Department reports the arrest of two individuals in recent efforts to keep the community safe.

Kenneth Thornton was taken into custody for shoplifting and possession of paraphernalia. Morgan Leslie Palmore was arrested for driving with a suspended license, failing to obey a traffic control device, and an active warrant from the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

Police emphasize that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. Department officials note a decline in driving under the influence cases, which they see as a positive trend toward safer roads in Magee.

Chief Denis J. Borges stated that the department remains active and vigilant, committed to enforcing laws and holding accountable anyone who endangers others. He added that the department is pleased with the overall safety during the holiday period.
