Reeves highlights Mississippi’s cultural and tourism assets

Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves highlighted the state’s cultural, geographic and recreational attractions, saying its people have long been its greatest tourism asset.

The statement described Mississippi as having helped define American culture and identified the state as the birthplace of America’s music. It also said Mississippi’s food is known around the world.

The statement cited the Mississippi River, the Delta and the Gulf Coast, along with areas in between, as part of the state’s range of destinations. It also pointed to hunting and fishing, historic communities and college sports as Mississippi attractions.
