K-9 Beau selected to receive trauma kit from Protection4Paws

K-9 Beau of the Kemper County Sheriff’s Office has been selected by Protection4Paws to receive an Advanced Trauma Kit, the sheriff’s office announced.

The specialized kit contains medical supplies intended to help K-9 handlers treat an injured dog during an emergency while veterinary care is being reached. The office said the kit will provide potentially lifesaving equipment for Beau when needed.

The sheriff’s office said the Protection4Paws campaign was attached to its post and encouraged people who want to support the organization to donate or share the campaign. The campaign includes a goal of equipping 250 law enforcement K-9s with trauma kits.

The office expressed appreciation to Protection4Paws and its supporters. The post thanked the organization on behalf of Sheriff James R. Moore and the Kemper County Sheriff’s Office.
