Hattiesburg Police are escorting an oversized load through the city over the next several hours, according to a traffic notice issued Friday at 10 a.m.
The load is traveling on Broadway Drive and is expected to continue north on U.S. 49 before turning west onto Hardy Street and U.S. 98 out of Hattiesburg. Motorists should expect temporary rolling lane closures and delays along the route.
Police advised drivers to use caution, allow extra time and follow directions from officers assisting with the escort.
