Victims Services Team joins Take Back the Night at Ole Miss
An organization’s Victims Services Team participated in Take Back the Night on the University of Mississippi campus in Oxford, the group said in a Facebook post. The post thanked community partners for inviting the team to take part in the event.
Take Back the Night events, held on college campuses and in communities nationwide, aim to raise awareness about sexual and intimate-partner violence and to show support for survivors. Organizers typically include student groups, campus safety offices and local advocacy organizations.
Victims services teams generally provide support and information to people affected by crime and trauma, and their presence at awareness events can help connect survivors with resources and referrals. The Facebook post did not provide additional details about the team’s activities at the event.
The participation reflects broader campus and community efforts to address and prevent sexual and domestic violence and to support survivors, organizers and advocates say. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
