TUNICA COUNTY, Mississippi — The Tunica County Sheriff’s Office said it is seeking a 19-year-old man for questioning in a double homicide investigation.

The sheriff’s office identified the man as Jadarius Antwan Douglas of Tunica and said the victims were 33-year-old David Brown II and 42-year-old Taurean Martez Thomas, both of Tunica. The agency said the deaths are under active investigation.

The Tunica County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division said it has obtained warrants for Douglas in connection with additional crimes. Officials said the warrants include two counts of kidnapping, armed robbery, simple assault and shooting into a motor vehicle, and that it has not been confirmed whether those alleged crimes are related to the double homicide investigation.

Authorities asked anyone with information to contact Tunica County Crime Stoppers at 662-910-0400 or the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office at 662-363-1411. The sheriff’s office said information leading to an arrest may pay up to $1,000. Tunica County is in northwestern Mississippi and the sheriff’s office is the primary law enforcement agency for the county.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more details emerge.
