Rankin County Sheriff’s Office staffs TREK Job Extravaganza to highlight opportunities
Employees from the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department are getting an early start at the Rankin County Safe Room & Conference Center for the TREK Job Extravaganza, the department said in a Facebook post. The post said the department is partnering with Goodwill Industries of Mississippi at the event to connect applicants with available opportunities.
Goodwill Industries of Mississippi is a nonprofit organization that provides job training, employment placement and other workforce development services across the state. Such partnerships are common at job fairs and community workforce events to help residents explore career options and access support services.
The sheriff’s department said its employees will be on hand to provide information about the different opportunities available to applicants. Events like the TREK Job Extravaganza typically aim to help job seekers meet employers, learn about hiring processes and discover training resources.
