Rankin County Sheriff’s Office recognizes investigators for prosecuted cases
RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. — The Rankin County Sheriff’s Department on Friday recognized Investigator Jimmy Rogers and Deputy Tony Shack for their work on two cases recently prosecuted in Rankin County Circuit Court, the department said in a Facebook post.
Investigator Rogers is assigned to the department’s Criminal Investigations Division as a juvenile investigator. Deputy Shack serves on the Interdiction Task Force as a K9 handler, the department said.
The department’s public acknowledgment highlights the roles investigators and K9 teams play in building cases that reach prosecutors and judges. Juvenile investigators focus on crimes involving minors and work closely with prosecutors and social services, while interdiction teams and their dogs commonly assist with searches, evidence recovery and narcotics enforcement.
The Rankin County Sheriff’s Department is the primary law enforcement agency for Rankin County, Mississippi, responsible for public safety, criminal investigations and court security. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
