BRANDON, Mississippi — Pizza Shack is urging the community to support the Rankin County Animal Shelter with a donation and pet adoption drive at its Brandon location.
In a social media post, The Cleaners by Pizza Shack said some animals at the shelter are still waiting for food, care and a home and encouraged residents to help. The business said customers who bring a donation for the shelter will receive a free Honey Fire Cheesy Bread.
Pizza Shack also said anyone who adopts a pet from the Rankin County Animal Shelter will receive a $100 Pizza Shack gift card. The business thanked Josh Jones of Thrivent for supporting the effort through Thrivent Action Team funds, which Pizza Shack said is helping it give back to local animal shelters.
Pizza Shack is located at 237 W. Government St. in Brandon. The Rankin County Animal Shelter is the county-run facility that handles animal intake, care and adoptions for the area, and community donations and adoptions help sustain its operations.
