Pike County deputies arrest McComb man on sexual battery, enticing charges

On May 13, 2026, at approximately 7 a.m., Sheriff Wally Jones and investigators and deputies from the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from investigators from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Christopher Scott Landrum of McComb, Mississippi, in Vicksburg on one count of sexual battery and one count of enticing a minor child, the Pike County Sheriff’s Office said.

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, the office added.

Sheriff Jones urged would-be offenders that Pike County will pursue cases aggressively. “I’ve been very clear to anybody who has criminal intentions in Pike County, especially those who target children — you do not have a safe haven in Pike County,” Jones said. “If we are made aware of a case, we will do everything we can to prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law.”

Jones praised the Pike County investigators who worked on the case and thanked Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace and his staff for their assistance. “I’m extremely proud to walk beside each and every one of these men and women and call them my friends,” he said. “It is truly an honor to serve the great people of Pike County.”

The sheriff’s office asked anyone with information or additional victims to contact the Pike County Sheriff’s Office. This is a developing story and will be updated as more details emerge.
