Oxford Police Department thanked residents for attending its Light Up the Night event, saying in a Facebook post that the effort helped drivers brighten their headlights for safer nighttime driving.
The department said the event, which had been rescheduled because of winter weather, allowed officers and staff to meet members of the community while providing basic vehicle safety assistance. The post emphasized appreciation for those who stopped by and spent a few minutes with the department.
