Mississippi DPS urges motorists to schedule license appointments online

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety’s Driver Service Bureau is urging motorists to schedule driver license appointments online to avoid long waits and speed service, the agency said in a Facebook post.

The bureau said motorists can book appointments for renewing a driver’s license, obtaining a new license or handling other licensing services through its online scheduling portal at https://telegov.egov.com/dps. A separate page lists driver license locations statewide at https://www.driverservicebureau.dps.ms.gov/Drivers/Driver_License_Locations.

Scheduling appointments in advance can make visits quicker and more convenient for residents, the agency noted. Many state motor vehicle agencies use appointment systems to manage customer flow and reduce in-person wait times, particularly during busy periods or following policy changes that increase demand.

The Driver Service Bureau issues and renews licenses at facilities across Mississippi and advises customers to prepare required documents before their visit. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
