Mississippi Department of Public Safety wishes residents Happy Mother’s Day

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety posted “Happy Mother’s Day from the Mississippi Department of Public Safety!” on its Facebook page, extending holiday greetings to mothers across the state.

The department is the state agency that oversees law enforcement functions including the Mississippi Highway Patrol and driver services. It frequently uses official channels to communicate with residents about safety, services and seasonal reminders.

Mother’s Day is observed in the United States on the second Sunday in May and is often marked by personal celebrations, travel and gatherings. State and local public safety agencies commonly acknowledge the holiday and at times pair greetings with reminders to drive carefully and follow safety guidelines during increased travel periods.

Residents who follow the department’s social media accounts can find official posts and updates from the agency. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
