Last Call Sports Bar collects canned food through March 1

JACKSON — Last Call Sports Bar is collecting canned food donations through March 1 to support people experiencing homelessness, according to a social media post from the business.

Donations may be dropped off during business hours at Last Call Sports Bar, the post said. Organizers said all collected items will be distributed March 2 to local individuals in need.

The bar encouraged residents to participate, saying each donation can make a difference, the post said. The drive aims to connect community generosity with immediate needs among people without stable housing.

Canned goods and other nonperishable items are often staples of community food drives because they store well and can be distributed quickly. Local businesses and faith-based groups frequently organize drives like this one to supplement food banks and shelters.

We will provide more information as it becomes available.
