Jackson Police Department seeks recruits, certified officers
The Jackson Police Department is looking for police recruits and certified officers to serve, lead and make a difference in the city, Chief of Police RaShall Brackney said in a Facebook post. The department encouraged people who feel called to protect others and who are committed to professionalism and integrity to apply.
In the post, Brackney included a short recruitment message: “Join JPD. Serve with purpose.” She also linked to the city’s employment portal for job details and application instructions.
The Jackson Police Department is the primary law enforcement agency for Mississippi’s capital and is responsible for public safety, crime investigation and community policing within city limits. Recruitment efforts typically aim to maintain staffing levels and support police operations that affect residents’ day-to-day safety.
Interested applicants are directed to the City of Jackson’s employment website for the certified police officer posting and application process. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
