Hattiesburg police seek person of interest in multiple commercial burglaries

Hattiesburg police are asking the public for help locating a person of interest in connection with three commercial burglaries that occurred in the 100 block of Industrial Drive on Dec. 14, 2025, Jan. 18, 2026, and Feb. 15, 2026, the department said in a Facebook post.

Detectives want to speak with Eddie McCormick, 27, of Laurel, regarding the incidents, the department said. Authorities did not allege guilt and asked anyone with information about McCormick’s whereabouts or the break-ins to contact the Hattiesburg Police Department.

The Hattiesburg Police Department serves the city of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and investigates crimes ranging from property offenses to violent crime.
