Cadet Class 70 advances into week nine of training
A Mississippi law enforcement training program posted on Facebook that Cadet Class 70 has completed week eight and is moving into week nine of its training cycle.
The short social media message encouraged the cadets to “keep pushing and finish strong,” reflecting the physical and mental demands typical of police academy training. Law enforcement academies generally combine physical conditioning, defensive tactics, firearms instruction, legal and ethical education, and scenario-based exercises to prepare recruits for duty.
Cadet Class 70 represents one cohort among many that local and state agencies train each year to fill patrol and public safety positions. Successful completion of academy training is a key step before recruits begin supervised field work or further agency-specific training.
The Facebook post included hashtags referencing Mississippi and law enforcement and conveyed a motivational message to the cadets. This is a developing matter; we will provide more information as it becomes available.
