Cold, dry winter air can cause skin problems, especially with age

Cold weather and dry air can trigger skin issues that people may not have experienced before, particularly as they age, according to dermatologists at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

The specialists explain which skin conditions tend to worsen during winter and how certain habits can make these issues worse. They recommend taking steps to protect skin during the colder months.
