New Albany High School has moved its football game and Homecoming festivities to Thursday, Oct. 1, because of the chance of storms on Friday.
The school said it plans a full day of celebrating its Bulldogs as part of Homecoming 2026 and encouraged people to make plans to attend Thursday’s events.
Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel. A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
