Olive Branch says city phone service has been restored

Phone service to Olive Branch city phone lines has been restored, according to an update from the city. Residents are asked to dial 911 for all emergencies and not to call the non-emergency number simply to test whether it is working.

Earlier, Olive Branch Emergency Communications said its phone lines were unavailable. The non-emergency number, 662-895-4111, was not working, while 911 remained operational. People needing to make a report were directed to call the Olive Branch Police Department at 662-892-9400.

The announcement said Bright Speed had been notified and was en route. The notice was attributed to Ken Adams, the Olive Branch mayor, and the City of Olive Branch – Government.
