The Lafayette County Sheriff's Office reported two arrests: one for possession of child pornography and one for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
