Edna Clemons found safe after Hattiesburg police sought public’s help

Edna Clemons, a 67-year-old Hattiesburg resident, has been found and is safe, according to an update from the Hattiesburg Police Department.

Police had asked the public to help locate Clemons after she was last seen Saturday at about 9:45 a.m. near Dixie Avenue, traveling south on foot. Officers said they were working to find her and ensure her safety because of health concerns.

Clemons was described as 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing approximately 140 pounds. She was wearing a light blue shirt with horizontal stripes and light-colored denim pants, and carrying a brown purse.
