The Ocean Springs Police Department expressed gratitude to local businesses and organizations on Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.
The department thanked Whataburger, Woodmen Life Insurance Company, AGJ Systems & Networks, and the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office for providing treats and support.
Police officials said the generosity and encouragement from these partners mean a lot to officers and staff. They also praised the community for its ongoing backing.
The department shared the message on its Facebook page, emphasizing appreciation for community support.
Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel. A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
