The New Albany Main Street Association is highlighting New Albany’s history, community, attractions and events through its website.
The association describes New Albany as a historic community in north Mississippi with Southern character and historic significance. The website encourages visitors and residents to connect with the community, explore local attractions and stay informed about events.
Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel. A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
