Little Jamaica Southaven is holding its official ribbon cutting and grand opening at 10 a.m. at 531 Stateline Road W. in Southaven, according to an announcement from the Southaven Chamber of Commerce.
The event invites attendees to celebrate the opening, enjoy Jamaican food and experience the restaurant in Southaven.
Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel. A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
