Gautier Police Department accepting applications for police officers

The Gautier Police Department is accepting applications for police officer positions, with applications due by 5 p.m. Oct. 14, 2026.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, be eligible to work in the United States and hold a valid driver’s license. Candidates must successfully complete a physical agility test and pass a written examination. Required documents must be submitted with the application.

The positions involve 12-hour rotating shifts. The department lists pay based on experience, a full benefits package, training opportunities, retirement and longevity pay, employee insurance coverage at no cost and a city vehicle among the position benefits.

Applications can be submitted online through the city’s application portal or in person at the Gautier City Hall Office of Human Resources, 3330 Highway 90, Gautier, Mississippi 39553. The department also provides a job information and application packet online.
