Gautier Police Department accepting applications for police officers

The Gautier Police Department is hiring police officers and will accept applications until October 14, 2026, at 5 p.m.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, be eligible to work in the United States and hold a valid driver’s license. Candidates must successfully complete a physical agility test. Eligible applicants also must pass a written examination, and required documents must be submitted with the application.

The department lists 12-hour rotating shifts, pay based on experience, a full benefits package, training opportunities, retirement and longevity pay, employee-covered insurance and a city vehicle among the position details. The announcement also states that prior law enforcement experience is not required and that training is provided.
