DeSoto County prepares for Fall Cleanup Week as road projects are discussed

District 2 Supervisor Mark Lyndon Gardner spoke with residents at a Bridgetown Community Association meeting about several upcoming road projects, including replacement of a box culvert on Malone Road.

Gardner also brought cleanup kits as DeSoto County prepares for Fall Cleanup Week, scheduled for October 10–18. Dumpsters will be available at 16 locations across the county during the cleanup period.

Groups and individuals planning to clean up a neighborhood or local road can receive a free kit. Each kit includes trash grabbers, gloves, safety vests and trash bags.

To organize a cleanup, residents can contact DeSoto County Solid Waste at 662-469-8162 or use the county’s online information form.
