Captain Mangum held his final district meeting with the troopers of Troop G, whom he had served alongside and led, according to the Mississippi Department of Public Safety.
The department thanked Mangum for his years of leadership, dedication and service to the Mississippi Highway Patrol and the people of Mississippi. It also said his impact on Troop G and the troopers he led would continue after the meeting, and wished him well in his next chapter.
